I recently embarked on an unforgettable adventure to the Blue Mountains in Jamaica, challenging myself with a hike at 7,402 feet above sea level. I stayed at Whitfield Hall, a charming hostel with deep historical roots, owned by John Allgrove whose family has held the property since the 1920’s. John’s passion for the history of the mountain and the local community added a rich layer to the experience. Our robust, well renowned, beautiful Jamaican coffee hails from these mountains also. He is a walking history & geography book.

The journey began in New Kingston, where I was picked up by Roydell a highly professional driver. He will pick up up, worth the money as you need a trusty 4 wheel…
